Caucasian Peoples in the Concepts of Ethnogenesis of Poles and the Creation of the Polish State

Abstract


In the article the significance of the Caucasus in the concepts of the ethnogenesis ofPoles in history is presented. I introduced the most important authors who believethat the region was homeland of Poles, and at least a part of society — nobility. Atthe end of the article I pointed out that although nowadays the theory that the Polescame from the Caucasus is rejected, however, it is used to carry out the narrative ofcloseness and Polish-Caucasian brotherhood.
