Søren Kierkegaard’s struggle for resuscitating the Christianity in ‘the Christian World
Abstract
The article does not show entire Kierkegaard’s live dedicated to the defense of the Christianity and his struggle for resuscitating of the holiness of the Church, to which he belonged nominally. The signs of the basic concepts are indicated and certain categories which are pivotal for his religious thought. One of the objectives of this article is to show the chronology of the events anticipating directly the “last attack.” In this article, the subject of our interest are, therefore, the writings of the last five years of the life of Kierkegaard, constituting a sort of epilogue, a coda, summarizing and concluding the whole of the intensively lived life. These include: About My Work as an Author (1851), The Report of the Point of View for My Work as an Author (1849), Annex. ‘The Single.’ Two Notes for My Work as an Author (first note: 1846, second note: 1849), For Self-Examination: Recommended to the Present Age (1851), Judge for Yourself! For Self-Examination: Recommended to the Present Age (1851–1852), Was Bishop Mynster ‘The Witness of The Truth’, One of The True ‘The Witness of The Truth’ and Is it Truth? (18th December 1854).
