Abstrakt

The historical awareness shown by Andrzej Panufnik — a composer living abroad — is an additional confirmation of his attachment to Poland. The recalled historical facts and figures, explored in various forms and contexts, are also connected with folklore, religiousness and Panufnik’s characteristic language. Representation of the reality in the form of documentation of empirical events, the traces of emotional experiences and spiritual life experiences are presented on the basis of Panufnik’s works, of which the history and the Polish Identity are inseparable elements.
