Abstrakt

In the article, the author poses many questions pertaining to the necessary interdisciplinary studies into documentary and feature films as historical sources. Simultaneously, he underlines the historiographical aspect of this problem, taking into account the terminology in use and the individual aspects of credibility and authenticity of selected studied recordings. He also points out the necessity to develop a theory and methodology to study the information contained in film documentaries from the historical research perspective.
